  1. How much does SpotlessCity charge me for its services?

    Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Seriously, SpotlessCity doesn't charge customers anything to use the site. It's an easier way to get your dry cleaning picked up & delivered—and it's totally free!

  2. Ok, so SpotlessCity is free, but is the dry cleaner charging me more for ordering online?

    Nope. The prices listed by the dry cleaners on SpotlessCity are the same ones posted in their stores. So you'll always pay the same exact amount that you would if you dropped off your clothes to the dry cleaner in person. Guaranteed.

  3. Great, so how do I place an order?

    Enter your address in the homepage, choose the dry cleaner that's right for you, schedule a free pickup & delivery and sit back and relax. We'll take care of the rest.

  4. Where can I write and see reviews of the dry cleaners?

    We're currently developing our Reviews feature, and it will be up soon to make it even easier to find the right dry cleaner for you. In the meantime, rest assured that all the dry cleaners in our network are tried and tested before they're SpotlessCity-approved.

  5. How can I give special instructions to the dry cleaner?

    At the checkout page you'll see a box labeled “Special Instructions.” That's where you can write anything that you want the dry cleaner and/or delivery person to see. For example, you can list out the items you're sending over, point out specific stains or let the delivery person know about that broken buzzer.

  6. How do I separate my dry cleaning from laundry?

    You can always explain everything in the Special Instructions box, but to make it absolutely clear, put your dry cleaning in one bag and laundry in another and mark them or let the delivery person know which is which. If your dry cleaner has already given you dedicated clothing bags, you can use those. And if they haven't, we can give you a pair of ours – just ask!

  7. What happens after I submit my order?

    The dry cleaner will get your order instantly. As soon as they confirm it, you'll get an email confirming the scheduled times and other details of your order. Then hand a bag of your clothes to the delivery person at the pickup time you set and you'll get them back (nice and clean) at the delivery time you set.

  8. Is your site secure? I'd like to know how my credit card info is handled.

    Your personal information is super secure on SpotlessCity (just check out our VeriSign SSL certificate)! In fact, your credit card information is so secure that we can't even see anything but the last 4 digits. And don't worry, we would never share an ounce of information with third parties.

  9. What areas do you operate in? Any plans to expand?

    We're New Yorkers, so naturally we're starting our service in New York City. We're currently operating in Greenwich Village, the West Village, East Village, SoHo, Financial District, Union Square, and the Upper East Side in Manhattan, and in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Clinton Hill, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Bushwick in Brooklyn. But pretty soon we'll be expanding to all of NYC and beyond.

  10. Why isn't my local dry cleaner on SpotlessCity yet?

    We probably just haven't got to them yet. We're planning on partnering up with a lot more dry cleaners throughout the City and bringing them onto SpotlessCity. If you'd like to see your dry cleaner on SpotlessCity, you can tell them to get in touch with us or click here and we'll take it from there.

  1. I have some questions that aren't answered here, who should I contact and how?

    If you have a question about a specific order placed with a dry cleaner, you can always contact the dry cleaner directly. If you have any questions about the site or your account, you can contact us by clicking here. We'd love to hear from you.

  2. What do I do if I placed an order but did not receive an email confirmation?

    You will get an email as soon as the dry cleaner confirms your order. If you placed the order during normal business hours, it should take just a few minutes. Of course, if the store is closed, you may not get an email until they open in the morning. We'll be keeping an eye on your order to make sure that you receive a prompt confirmation, but if you haven't received an email and are concerned, let us or the dry cleaner know and we'll take care of it.

  3. Can I cancel or change my pickup & delivery times after I've placed my order?

    No problemo. We know you're busy and things can come up, so we made it pretty simple to cancel an order. Log into your account and click “My Orders” in the header. Then click the “Cancel” button next to the order you'd like to cancel and the dry cleaner will get notified right away. You can always create a new order with the times that work for you. But if the dry cleaner has already picked up your clothes and you just need to change the delivery time, please contact us or the dry cleaner and we'll take care of it.

  4. I'd like to list out the clothing items in my order, where can I do that?

    If you'd like to keep track of what you're sending over to the dry cleaner, you can list your items or enter notes in the box labeled “Special Instructions” at the checkout page. Soon we'll even be adding a neat little calculator tool so you figure out what your cleaning bill will be before you send your clothes in.

  5. How do I check the status of my order?

    Log into your account and click “My Orders” in the header. You can see detailed information about your orders there. And if there's anything else you need to know, you can always ask us or the dry cleaner.

  6. How do I redeem a Promo Code?

    Easy. Enter your code into the box labeled “Promo Code” at the bottom of the checkout page.

  7. What happens if the delivery person is late?

    This should never happen since SpotlessCity only shows you pickup & delivery times that a dry cleaner has already told us are available. But if it does, please contact the dry cleaner right away to find out what the problem is. Or feel free to contact us and we'll get to the bottom of it. We know that the last thing you want to do is wait around for your dry cleaning to come back.

  8. What do I do if something happened to my clothes?

    We really hope this never happens, but if it does, please contact the dry cleaner right away to let them know what happened and find out what can be done about it. Feel free to contact us as well and we'll do whatever we can to help, but the dry cleaner should be your first point of contact since we're not involved in cleaning your clothes at all.
